Yemeni Coastguard 24h Ops Center Tel 967 1562 402 English speaking. It has been reported they recommend setting off EPIRB in the event of an attack. The Yemeni government has provided the coastguard with modern equipment and boats as well as setting up surveillance systems in an effort to prevent piracy in its territorial waters.

It must be stressed that even if the authorities are prepared to respond, it could take several hours for help to reach a yacht in distress.
