Gulf of Thailand opening up

The Gulf of Thailand is opening up to cruising boats and you can clear in at any port which has an immigration office such as Pattani, Songkhla, Ko-Samui, Trat, Chantaburi, Mabtaput (Rayong), Patthaya and Bangkok. Visitors should remember that if the captain lists himself as such on the clearance paper, he must leave the country by boat. This can be a problem if intending to leave the boat in Thailand.
