During the North East Monsoon, there is a good anchorage on the west coast of Ko Yao Yai in Phang Nga Bay near Phuket. It has a good landing beach without rocks or reefs and a small resort with a nice restaurant. Anchor just south of the resort in 7-8 meter of water in approximate position 07.58.754N and 098.34.068S. If the NE-monsoon is weak, you may get some onshore winds in the afternoon or early evening, but these will die down after a couple of hours.
