Ecuador Clearance

Hi, just cleared in to Bahia, Puerto Amastad and here at least there was no need for an agent. There was also no need to go to Manta as you pay $60 for a taxi to ferry the officials to Bahia and back. On top of this fee you pay $20 for the passport stamp, $30 for pilot services,$5 for health and I am told my boat (40' 17T gross, 9T net ) will be about $40.

Puerto Amistad took care of all the paperwork including emailing the info to the Navy (the Port Captain cannot charge fees untill he can see the Yacht's in the Navy's system). All in all it was a pleasure. Thanks Puerto Amistad.
