Three migrant fishermen from Burma have been arrested and accused of
murdering British yachtsman Malcolm Robertson, and throwing his body
overboard.
The 64-year-old and his wife had embarked on a
round-the-world voyage after retiring , and were anchored off a small island about 50 miles from Satun Island on the Thai/Malaysian border when they were attacked. Mrs Robertson was tied up and locked in the cabin as the trio beat up her husband. When she managed to get out, she discovered blood on the decks, but no sign of her husband, and waved down a passing vessel, resulting in an intervention by the police.
It is believed that the three men have confessed to killing Mr Robertson.
