General Strike in French Antilles

Received by Noonsite on 26th February:

Both Martinique and Guadalupe have been subject to a general strike which so far has gone on for 3 weeks. No fuel or supermarkets etc. Some violence with cars set on fire etc.

No suggestions as yet as to when it will end.
