I have to inform you that assaults against yachtsmen are still ongoing in Northern Brazil.

Yesterday, 8th. Feb 2009, a Brazilian charter agent was murdered on a cruiser catamaran at the Itaparica Island near Salvador Bahia.

Last month an old-aged French couple was slashed at the same place on their boat. The list of affected people from overseas is large, remember Peter Blake and many others.

Police Auhorities, as usual, simply ignore the facts. We can only warn foreign yachties to avoid Brazilian waters at all. Please forward this message to other people abroad.
