2nd edition of A Yachtsman’s Guide to Trinidad released

Free Cruising Guides have just released the 2nd edition of A Yachtsman’s Guide to Trinidad + Directory by Frank Virgintino. The new edition now includes a directory of vendors in the vicinity of Chaguaramus of importance to cruisers, from boatyards and marine equipment dealers to restaurants and onshore accommodations. Vendors are indexed alphabetically and by product for the convenience of readers.

The purpose of the guide is not to describe how to cruise through Trinidad, but rather, how to optimize what is available in Trinidad in terms of storage and repair facilities for cruisers. The addition of a directory boosts the usefulness of the guide significantly.

2nd edition of A Thinking Man’s Guide to Voyages South - the Many Facets of Caribbean Cruising released

Free Cruising Guides have also released the 2nd edition of A Thinking Man's Guide to Voyages South ~ the Many Facets of Caribbean Cruising by Frank Virgintino. The new edition includes an expanded section on the options to leave the North American Coast as well as additional work in "Quadrant N" and its peculiar characteristics. Many of the figures throughout the book have been enhanced for greater clarity and comprehension. An index as well as an active table of contents are also part of the new edition.

The book has been well received throughout the cruising sector of the pleasure boat community as the definitive guide to a voyage south for its guidance through a new route into the Caribbean and its expanded understanding of cruising opportunities throughout the Caribbean basin. The author has made public appearances on behalf of the book, including at the SSCA Gam in Melbourne, Florida.

A Cruising Guide to Puerto Rico - now available as an ePub

A Cruising Guide to Puerto Rico by Frank Virgintino is now available at Amazon Kindle and other ePub bookstores. The guide is also available for download as a free PDF at freecruisingguides.com.

This guide covers the entire island of Puerto Rico with special attention to the islands of Vieques and Culebra; the Spanish Virgin Islands. Virgintino also explores Puerto Rican culture to give cruisers an insight as to what a Michigan University Study terms “the happiest people in the world”.

With cruising season in full swing, the author reminds readers that Puerto Rico is part of the Greater Antilles and that this northern part of the Caribbean is often overlooked as cruising boats rush east to get to the Lesser Antilles.
