Countries: US Virgin Islands

Cruz Bay

There is very limited anchoring space by the seaplane ramp in Cruz Bay. The other anchoring areas have no room being full of fixed moorings. Bigger boats (drafts 2 metres plus) will have to anchor well outside to clear in at the ferry terminal across from the National Park office.

Many of the National Park mooring centres have floating pay stations making life easier - just look out for the rafts with the National Park flag flying.

Coral Bay

Coral Bay at the east end of the island is choc-a-bloc with live-a-boards and cruisers. Holding is good, anchorage is calm and there is a good, if crowded, dinghy dock. The bus to Cruz Bay is quite reliable (US$1).

The "Skinny Legs Bar" ashore and "Angel's Rest" afloat are the natural meeting spots for cruisers.
