Sailors everywhere are invited to join the 10th annual Summer Sailstice celebration of sailing on the weekend of 19 June. Begun in 2001, Summer Sailstice was created as a holiday just for sailors to be celebrated wherever you sail in the Northern Hemisphere.

To participate sailors need to simply sign up at www.summersailstice.com and then go sailing on the weekend of 19/20 June. The website allows you to post your sailing plans, invite others or see what other sailors are doing in your area. Whether you've just launched the boat for the summer or you're in the middle of you're racing season you can sign up to be part of this global celebration of sail. Wherever you are - just sail!

By signing up you're also eligible to win prizes donated by The Moorings, Hunter Marine, West Marine, Hobie, Offshore Saiing, Woodenboat and many of your favorite marine businesses. Prizes include a free one-week BVI charter with the Moorings, a Hobie Kayak and over 400 other prizes. Sign up early and plan to get together with friends and family to celebrate life under sail on the weekend of June 19.

Sail Locally, Celebrate Globally

We look forward to sailing and celebrating "with you" for Summer Sailstice 2010.

Fair Winds,
John Arndt
