Salvador - Our stay during Carnival

Contrary to the post from February 2009, we had no problems in Salvador during February and March 2010.

We arrived on the first day of Carnival. We stayed at the Terminal Nautico for one week.

During daylight, we walked in the neighborhood to the bank, customs, and stores. After dark, we walked only to and from the elevator to the upper city. We did not stay out later than 9 p.m., and followed the guidelines published in various references. (No flashy jewelry, etc.)

We did not encounter any theft or violence and did not hear of any other cruising boats having a bad experience.
