Cartagena - Owner of Restaurant La Carreta Killed

The hamburger restaurant, La Caretta I believe it is called, less than a block from Club Pesca and 4 blocks from Club Nautico, suffered a horrible loss recently.

The owner, 43 years, was gunned down with an automatic rifle and took 13 bullets while sitting in his restaurant at around 9 pm. I heard the shots from our boat and knew it was not fireworks. There was a party for the cruisers about a block away.. We choose not to go as I had a bad feeling about partying late in Cartagena. Police were everywhere. Gun man got away as usual.

I believe it was last Friday night or Saturday night (12/13 February). A horrible loss for the clients of the restaurant and his family and friends. Most cruisers to Cartagena have eaten there. Sad.
