Boat Lagoon Phuket - Restricted Depth

Please be aware that entry to Phuket Boat Lagoon is difficult and subject to the height of the tide.

We - on the advice of the management - tried to enter on a 2.4M high tide and ran aground with a maximum depth of 1.8m on the first corner = even with a pilot from the marina!. Our draft is 2.1M.

Subsequent inquiries with other cruising boats seem to indicate that if the boat is over about 50ft it is difficult even at the highest tides, but generally no reasonable entry for monohulls with draft in excess of 2M in less than a 3M tide.
