Message:
As we see in the report from the Kremik Marina in Croatia, some sailors are happy, some are not, in most marinas of the world.

We had in all the Med and the Caribbean for 15 years only good experiences - except in the Betina Marina in Croatia.

We met the marina manager at the London Boat Show and consequently booked a berth for our 52 ft Yacht in his marina, for 3 months in summer 2008. At the end of the stay we took the boat out for anti-fouling and some maintenance work, based on an offer from the marina manager.

Once the boat was on the hard, his offer was no more valid we were told, because they pretended they used a bigger crane. We had the impression they had plotted this all from the beginning. Finally we had to pay nearly twice as much for the proposed work, and additionally 3% for paying with credit card, and did not even get a regular invoice.

These were pirate's manners, and maybe not a singular case, especially in Croatia...

Noonsite contacted Betina Marina for comment, however no reply was received.
