Cornell Consultancy

Founder of noonsite and best-selling author Jimmy Cornell has decided to start a consultancy to provide advice on voyage preparation and route planning for anyone intending to leave on a long voyage.

In his work as organiser of international sailing events, Jimmy has provided practical help to countless participants in one of his twenty transatlantic and five round the world rallies. In recent years he has given routing advice to noonsite visitors.

The aim of his new project is to provide personally tailored advice to anyone planning to undertake a long offshore voyage.

In the last 35 years Jimmy Cornell has sailed 200,000 miles in all oceans of the world including three circumnavigations as well as voyages to Antarctica, Alaska and Spitsbergen. As the respected magazine Yachting World pointed out in a review of his latest book, A Passion for the Sea, “what Jimmy Cornell doesn’t know about cruising is not worth knowing”.

Jimmy Cornell will be signing books on the Adlard Coles Nautical stand during the first weekend of the London boat show on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 January 2010. Anyone interested in discussing their cruising plans on a one-to-one basis can contact him on jimmy@jimmycornell.com.
