Countries: Brazil

The anchorage on the NW end of the island is very safe / sheltered, good holding in mud.

The marina there is expensive & are now charging $5 reais per day for dinghys, although not many folks seem to pay.

Salvador is acessible via ferry for about $3.5 reais where you have the clearance authorities. Wear long pants as we heard of people bieng refused service due to improper dress!! Strange in a country where it's not unusual to see really scantily clad females.

Be very aware of street crime.
