The formation of the new Port of Airlie Marina is now complete with substantial sheet piling positioned to shape the Marina walls. The Marina design and operation facilities are currently being finalised and construction of over 240 berths will commence early next year. Construction will include the installation of pontoons and navigation aids.

The marina operation facilities and services will include provisioning, boat valet services, re-fuelling facilities, mechanical support, boat stackers, travel lifts, waterblasting and undercover rack and trailer storage.

The completion of the Marina is set to coincide with the opening of the Boathouse Apartments in 2010. Upon completion, the Marina will form the basis of the Port of Airlie masterplan which incorporates a fully integrated marine precinct.
