This is a warning for anyone entering the Corinth harbour.
While tied to the downtown pier in the Corinth Yacht Harbour (there were no other boats), we woke at 2:30 a.m. to the sounds of four guys in our cockpit attempting to enter our locked companion way. I woke before my husband and guest and knocked loudly from the inside to get their attention and shouted "GET OFF THE BOAT!" Not wanting to turn on our interior lights, I was unable to find our camera hoping to snap a picture of the would-be intruders. Once they realized either we were aboard, or that we'd awoken, they said, "sorry, sorry, sorry," and left.
They wore hoodies to hide their faces and kept a close eye on us as they departed the pier in the hope that we weren't coming after them. It was quite a task to climb aboard our yacht, as it sits very high and our rail was closed. They climbed over our rail and exited that way...
In later conversations with another sailboat who had just been in that harbour, they spoke of people who hung around the pier begging for cigarettes and cash.
