A yacht anchored at Gilli Air or (Aer) Island - part of the 3 islands which make up the Gilli Islands on the North Western corner of Lombock and west of Bali in Indonesia - reported a burglary on the night of 27 September 2009.

The crew were all staying ashore, and the boat was left unattended, however the boat was not locked.

Approx. $1200 of electronic gear was stolen.

The crew reported the incident to one of the workers at the Go Go bar who claimed his brother was the village chief, however no action was taken. There are no police on the Island.
