Warning to potential users of Mitikas harbor on the mainland to the north of Kalamos island.

There have been a number of indiscriminate thefts from charter boats and private boats during the summer of 2009.

Most disturbingly it would appear that some of these thefts have taken place whilst the people were on their boats. Laptops, cameras etc seem to be the favourite target. Thefts have been during daylight as well as overnight, on the quay and out at anchor.

Sadly the locals and the port police in Lefkada have not been particularly helpful.

This is the first time in the 7 years we have been operating as a company that this has been brought to our attention in this locality, but sadly this seems to have been particularly frequent this summer. We would not like any more people to have to have their holiday marred with an unpleasant incident such as this.
