Our Experience of Turkish Marinas

We have just left Turkey after wintering in Marmaris (Netsel Marina). It was fine but many changes were implemented, almost overnight and with much confusion. We had no probs. but that wasn't the case for many people - re. booking in and out (different places charging or not but most insisting on the payment to an agent for the paperwork), marina charges and lift out prices drastically hiked up, extra monies to be paid for use of ladders, electricity etc. whilst on the hard, petty fines threatened e.g. for faded courtesy flags, wi-fi disconnected for weeks without warning etc. etc., which in the end has made many people think to move on.

I hear on the grapevine that Yat Marine, Marmaris, have followed suit.

We did enjoy our stay there though and found the marina staff friendly and helpful. Just check out the "extras" before you sign-up.!
