Sponsorship ensures continuation of free-to-use resource for global cruising community.

World Cruising Club (WCC), the organisers of the famous Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC) and World ARC, amongst others, has today announced an important new partnership with the Pantaenius Yacht Insurance Group. The Pantaenius Group has been named as the new global site sponsor for Noonsite.com, WCC's free-to-use web resource for the worldwide community of cruising sailors.

Noonsite.com was taken over by World Cruising Club a year ago this month. The site began with author and sailing "guru" Jimmy Cornell's work on the global cruising scene from the last quarter of a century and is a culmination of his best-selling books World Cruising Handbook and World Cruising Routes, since enhanced by regular contributions and updates from Noonsite.com viewers from around the world.

Sue Richards, Noonsite.com editor, commented, "With the signing of a global site sponsor such as Pantaenius we can now continue to maintain Noonsite.com as that all-important free-to-use cruising resource. We are really looking forward to further developing the site in association with our new sponsor."

Managing Director of Pantaenius UK, John McCurdy, said, "As a truly global brand, Noonsite.com provides Pantaenius Yacht Insurance with a remarkable opportunity to have a window on the world's cruising market and to maintain a dialogue with the cruising fraternity. This is a long-term partnership that we're really delighted to have made."

This popular site, that regularly attracts over 1 million hits per month, features essential information on all matters of interest to sailors planning an offshore voyage anywhere in the world, whether already underway or still in the preparatory stages. All cruising destinations are covered (currently 193 countries and 1845 ports) with information on clearance formalities, visa requirements, fees, weather, special events and other facts needed by visiting sailors. Also featured are details of repair facilities as well as marine and shore services for every major port visited by cruising boats.

Sailors from the international cruising community use Noonsite.com as a hub for news, views and general cruising information, making regular contributions and helping to ensure the continuing accuracy of the site content. In addition, the team of editors, all of whom are keen sailors, regularly update and monitor what is published.
