In Salvador Bahia, of the first 5 World ARC yachts to arrive, at least one person from each yacht has been mugged - some at knife point - only 50 metres from the marina.

Since arrival of other yachts there have been many more incidents. This is a particularly "hot spot" for this type of theft.
