We are now in Guadeloupe to fix a few things on our yacht. We are glad to be
here (Marina Bas Du Fort) as everyone is friendly and helpful, the tradesmen
are knowledgable and arrive on time.
I can recommend Caraibe Greement for the free help. He came on board to see about the problem with our furler, made 2 bolts to fit provisionally and ordered
the original parts from Selden.
Incidence Voilerie (sailmaker) fixed the rip in our genoa in 2 hours for 30
Euros!
Volvo Penta people found the problem (no-one could tell me what it
was before) and fixed it.
It might not be the cheapest place for repairs, but much better then going to Trinidad and getting ripped off by customs, immigration and trades people.
Cheers
Daniel
