Arrival formalities, October 2008, in the Seychelles were pleasant and easy.
Harbour fees are RS30 per day (Seychelles rupees), the rate being double during
the first 5 days. So long as harbour fees are paid the vessel may remain
in Seychelles waters indefinitely.
The customs official who attended us knew nothing of cruising restrictions such as a need to report to police stations as mentioned on your website. If there are such regulations they are not being enforced. The only documentation one receives is a receipt for harbour dues and a receipt for customs inspection (SR100). The ship's original ownership certificate is retained by the accounting office where the payments are made.
Fregate Island is privately owned and for that reason landing may be refused.
There are now good new walk-on marinas at Eden Island and Wharf Hotel &
Marina. These are due to be substantially expanded during the next 12
months. The marina water is good and drinkable.

Please note that noonsite outlines the official procedures as given to us by each country. In many countries, whether these are carried out correctly will often depend on the particular officers that deal with your clearance, the time of day or indeed the mood of that particular official.
