Question about Passage from E. Cuba to Bahamas

Starting around the 10th of April 2009 we intend to sail from the Eastern point of Cuba towards San Salvador in the Bahama's. Afterwards we'll sail to Bermuda.

Are there any problems to be expected concerning currents, winds, waves?

Any advice is much appreciated.
