Marina Oeiras Scores High Marks

Dear Noonsite,

Just a quick note to share with the fellow cruisers in Europe.

I have spent a most enjoyable time waiting for the arrival of crew in the Marina Oeiras, here in Lisbon Portugal. I would have to rate it as one of the most helpful, courteous marinas I have been to in Europe.

All the staff speak English (better than me), and go out of their way to help with phone calls, faxes, free Internet, clean fuel at competitive prices, cheap laundry and secure docks. What more could you ask for? And about 20% of the price of a larger marina nearby.

I first noticed that there was some thing different when they answered my radio call on channel 9 and escorted me to the berth by dingy. As fellow cruisers would agree, this is not the norm.

Highly, highly recommended.
