Docking in Palermo, Sicily

As the Captain of a 27m sail yacht I was horrified by the attitude and service of the main larger marina in Palermo. However, in leaving this marina God smiled on us and by chance we learnt about Alexe Paladono, the manager/owner of Florio yacht club.

While it is not flash at the moment, Alexe has the right attitude and soon it will be hard to find space as the service is over and above that of many small places.

Alexe has been around boating for years and has 2 charter sail companies operating out of the several berths he manages.

Florio is set up for the larger boats from 20/35m.

Alexe will bend over backward to help you and will ensure you are not taken to the cleaners with contractors and the like. He is small now, but he will grow quickly.

It's situated on the south Mole in the commercial port.
