USA, New York Delaware to Trinidad

Would you please be able to advise me on the suggested routing for a Swan '47 to sail from NY-Delaware range to Trinidad. Departure second half of May 2009 is anticipated in order to be ahead of any serious hurricanes.

Please advise

Thanks

Robert,

There is very little to add to your route as I deal with tactics in my World Cruising Routes. You are right to try and get to Trinidad before the hurricane season sets in...but you should not linger. So if you have good winds, resist the temptation and skip Bermuda - just make for the Virgins or some other suitable landfall. From there on keep an eye on the weather... and good luck!

Jimmy Cornell
