Wanting Information on Hauling Out in Belem, Brazil

In April 2010 we plan to attempt to sail from Trinidad to Brazil in a 27ft boat (stopping every 100nm or where ever we can). We plan to reach Belem, Brazil and then truck the boat the rest of the way down to Salvador.

If anyone has been to Belem, how easy would it be to find a "box" to load the boat into for the trip south? I know Belem is big and has a big boat industry, so there must be a lift to get "Ocean Sunrise" out; right?

If you can help, please e-mail me.

Subject: Assistance in Natal, NE Brazil

Message:
Every year I stay in Natal from November to March (while I spend the remaining months sailing my Contessa in Europe and N. Africa). I would be happy to offer free assistance to sailors stopping in NATAL or nearby anchorages.
