On 12/07/08 the yacht "Jackaroo" was sailing from Kingston to Port Antonio.

We had just passed Point Morant when we were approached from astern by 2 men heavily armed men in a 20' canoe motor boat. They attemped to board on starboard, bent stanchions and bashed into the yacht.

They then attemped to board from the stern, broke davits and damaged the tender. Finally, could not board at speed and left.

The Crew were unharmed, the yacht slightly damaged but the tender badly damaged. However, it could have been much worse.

We reported the incident to Port Antonio Marine Police, who have been very unhelpful and not interested.
