Riposto, Sicily - Excellent Marina

Riposto, between Messina and Catania, has an excellent marina, one of the best I have been in (Porto dell' Etna - Marina di Riposto).

There is good security, the showers and toilets are excellent and the marina staff incredibly helpful, especially the ormeggiatore. The office staff speak good English and French, and there is a boatyard adjacent to the marina with a 150 ton travel hoist.

There is a chandlery, excellent markets and a good restaurant in the marina.

Further construction work is going on which will almost double the size of the marina. Not cheap though, at 54 euros for a 11m yacht in high season.
