It has been announced that all coastal radio stations in Australia have closed down. Emergency frequencies are now monitored by a new network of stations. They listen in on 4125, 6215, 8219 KHz and transmit navigational warnings on 8219 KHz.

Inshore and coastal forecasts are broadcast on 2056, 4149. 6230, 8113, 12356 and 16528 KHz. High seas weather forecasts are broadcast on 2201, 4426, 6507, 8176, 12356 and 16564 KHz.
