Radio communication on HF radio is volatile at this time - propagation on our standard frequency of 14,323 MHz in the 20 metre band at 0025 hrs UTC (GMT) and at 0055 UTC for weather WX.

This month has shown a gradual improvement in propagation - cruising yachts are now in contact as far afield as Japan in the East and Seychelles in the West.

Reference to the following link give the reasons for the improvement:- #1 ; http://hfradio.org/latest_chart.html

A really good programme (free) for finding the best times of the day to make contact with other parts of the world is to be found at http://dxfile.free.fr/, written by Christian Ramade (F6GQK). It is PropHF v.1.3
