The Louisiades Rally for 2008 from Australia to the Louisiades Archipelago in Papua New Guinea is set to take place in September and October of this year. So far there has been strong interest in the Rally with over 100 Rally Briefings sent out to interested yachts. The entry form is now available and should be completed and returned as soon as possible. Early bird entries close 30 May.

The organisers have made arrangements for the Rally fleet to depart from Yorkeys Knob (Half Moon Bay Marina) with customs clearance at Yorkeys on 20 September.

For PNG a customs officer will be flown out to Bwagoia (Misima) for customs clearance. Yachts returning to Australia will need to clear back into a port of entry (e.g. Cairns), using the nominated berth and providing customs with advance notification (four days prior to arrival!).
