We want to report an armed robbery on the 21st of January in the Port of Belem, Brazil. Our boat was anchored about 200 meters from the ferry quay (01.27.43S 48.30.53W) in Belem as we could not reach the Belem Yacht club at that time due to low water. At about 01.00 hours two men with pistols entered our boat and awakened me with two pistols to my head. My hands were tied with a rope and my wife was awakened in the same way. In the dark we were asked to give all our money, mobile phones and watches. After we had given these they left. Belem is a very dangerous place around the harbours especialy close to the ferries. Don't stay there and go only to the Marina about 1 hour further up the river (01.28.59S 48.28.57) which is difficult to find and only with high water. We also found out that the cheap red diesel is very dirty and should not be used.
