China p. 448
Yachts other than Hong Kong and Macau registered ones are not allowed into China for repairs.
Note that if purchasing a yacht in China and taking it out of the country it will be eligible for a substantial amount of tax if it is brought back into China for any reason.
Japan p. 460
Cruising yachts can get tax free fuel by filling out the customs form C1260 at any customs office. Give it to the company you buy the fuel from and you should have all taxes removed (including the road tax).
Malaysia p. 464
It is prohibited to fill jerry cans with diesel at petrol stations. One jerry can per visit to the petrol station may be acceptable; how strictly the regulations are applied varies. Otherwise it is possible to get a permit to fill more than one can.
Singapore p. 473
Clearance
Immigration clearance is also possible at Changi Sailing Club for a fee: for members, S$35.00 for one yacht or S$20.00 per yacht for two or more yachts clearing at the same time; for non-members, S$50.00 for one yacht or S$30/00 per yacht for two or more yachts clearing at the same time. Yachts must fax the club (+65 6542 4235) a crew list including information of last port, arrival date and ETA at least 6 hours in advance.
