We are planning a circumnavigation from and back to Vancouver, BC. I have ordered latest edition of World cruising Routes but aren’t expected to receive it until May. We can’t wait that long for an answer to…

What would the ideal routes be from Vancouver? We would definitely want to hit the Galapagos at some point and are open to suggestions from there. We are 2 adults and 2 kids.

What is the very best time to leave. What about if we had to depart sometime between July and ? We are looking at a 2 year trip.

Sailing south from Vancouver in June/July is ok but you must avoid the area west of Mexico where the hurricane season starts in June. All route options are described in World Cruising Routes. The new edition will be available later this month.
