Customs Problems In Suldanha Bay?

We have just arrived at Saldanha Bay, hoping to make this our last stop in South Africa. Unfortunately there seems to be a turf war between the customs officers and we could not be stamped out of Saldanha Bay. This is a big pity as it is one of the nicest spots we have visited in South Africa. Thankfully we were not required to sail into the SE back to Cape Town, but we do have to hire a car for the 1hr journey.
