I am in the process of purchasing a catamaran in St. Lucia. I need to sail it from St. Lucia to Maine in May. Do you have any advice on the route to take and any precautions?

May is a good time to head north from the Caribbean. Late May is better for you than early May. Perhaps you should plan on stopping in Bermuda as it may be too early to continue to Maine before mid-June.
