We are soon leaving for a "South Pacific Family adventure", and currently reading "A passion for the sea". Jimmy Cornell mentions "International Sim-card" for GSM-communication. That sounds attractive, and I have tried with Sweden's big GSM-provider(Telia), but with a negative result. Would you happen to know how it would be possible to find such a Sim-card? What are the fees/circumstances?
There are various international SIM cards - just go on Google and type in: International SIM card. I have been using http://www.oneroam.co.uk
Its main advantage is that there is no cost for INCOMING calls, which can cost a lot in some countries. Their calling rates are also quite good. There are other companies offering this kind of service.
