Plans For EMYR 2008 Gather Pace

The Rally Committee is monitoring the political situation in the Middle East as usual, and will make appropriate decisions to ensure the enjoyment of the Rally. Positive reports have been received from the EMYR Representatives in Syria, Lebanon and Israeli Marinas/Ports and they all are looking forward to welcoming the EMYR Yachts in their marinas.

The Rally has a limit of 80 yachts due to limited mooring capacities in the marinas that visited in Northern Cyprus, Syria, and Lebanon. There are already 80 yachts listed and 16 yachts on the waiting list for EMYR 2008.

The Rally leaves Ataköy Marina, Istanbul on 22nd April 2008, and will sail the entire southwest and south coast of Turkey down to Kemer, Antalya. From Kemer the Rally sails to Alanya, Turkey and then on to Girne, N. Cyprus. Leaving Girne the rally fleet will sail to Mersin and Iskenderun. After leaving Turkey, the Rally yachts will visit the port of Lattakia in Syria, Jounieh Marina in Lebanon, Haifa and Ashkelon Marinas in Israel, Port Said in Egypt and finally Herzliya Marina in Israel as the last port.
