Sebana Cove Marina, Malaysia - Update November 2007

Countries: Malaysia, Singapore

Sebana Cove is busier now due to Nongsa Point Marina being closed for repairs. It's a very good alternative to expensive Singapore. It's a very quiet marina. But good for boats with kids aboard.

Internet Access - wireless, 24 hours, and a terminal in an Air Conditioned room, all free. Berth rates - Approximately (USD)$60 to $65 per week for a 37 foot yacht. Water & Electricity extra.

Immigration - 30 days on each arrival including returning from Singapore or touring. Customs - To my knowledge no inspection has been done on arrival of any yachts. The yacht can stay indefinitely - no limit.

Restaurant, Bar/nightclub, swimming pool, golf course, 2 large shower areas, sauna, workout/exercise room with much equipment. The resort will do your laundry but it'll be wrinkled, they don't iron it. Limited supplies are available from the restaurant (bread, milk, cheese, meats, vegetables, pastries, etc) at reasonable prices.

Customs & Immigration at the marina. Check in-out all handled by marina staff. Marina staff is very helpful and friendly.

Fast ferry to/from modern Singapore 3 times daily. Trip takes 1 hour. Almost everything is available there but at US or above prices. Bus service to town, Sungai Rengit (15 minute trip) twice weekly, if they're busy - as they are now - 4 trips per week. The town has fresh vegetables, hardware stores, restaurants, general merchandise, a liquor store, fast food, etc.

Reasonable taxi service to/from town is available. Staff will call them for you. Being located about 5 miles up a river, the water is brackish, no bottom growth on boats.
