Bali to Thailand, via west coast of Sumatra

I am considering sailing up the west coast of Sumatra to Thailand, Mid to late Sept. From what I can gather I should have SE winds, is this likely to be the case both below and above the equator. I do have "World Cruising routes" but this route doesnt seem to get much focus. Id love some feedback on the idea.

You should be ok as far as the equator (but stay well offshore), but north of the equator SW winds are more likely (still ok for your route). Watch out for tropical disturbances though as they do occur around that time in the N. Indian Ocean.
