Suva Clearance Procedure Changes

The yacht SY Spetakkel has just arrived in Suva, Fiji and are happy to inform that they don't make you go to the Kings Wharf anymore for clearance. You simply anchor in the quarantine anchorage and if you "push it a little" you can anchor on the south side of the yacht clubs anchorage and you will not need to move later.

It is now illegal to go to the Kings Wharf and they will send customs, immigration, agriculture and health officer to the boat with a launch and all the paperwork will be taken care of on the anchorage in your boat. The only thing you will have to do is to go to town the following day and pay the health fee. The other fees can be payed to the captain of the launch, in my case I did not have local money yet so he came back the following day. Thay were all great people and there were no problems.
