The Simpson Bay Lagoon Authority Corporation (SLAC) has reverted to the regular three bridge openings per day for both inbound and outbound traffic.
This arrangement will remain in place during the off-peak season from May to November. The new opening times are 9:30am, 11:30am and 5:30pm.
Rules state that outbound traffic always precedes inbound traffic and all vessels must report to the bridge attendant on VHF Channel 12.
Only after the bridge light has turned green may transiting of the bridge channel commence. All visiting vessels are required to check in at the SLAC collection office at the police station in Simpson Bay to clear in and clear out, and to pay harbour fees.
Failure of the captain or owner of the vessel to comply with the above rules could result in fines.
