Questions On Chagos Stay

The following questions were passed on to BIOT by Noonsite on behalf of a yacht currently in Chagos. BIOT's answers are in capitals below.

Will there be any limitation on the amount of permits issued at any one time (per month, per year, etc.)?

AT THE MOMENT, NO. THOUGH WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THIS.

Will there be any limitation as to the maximum permitted length of stay?

Will the holder of a valid permit be refunded if for any reason the visit is delayed or even cancelled?

IF THE VISIT IS DELAYED AND THE BIOT ADMINISTRATION IS NOTIFIED, THERE IS THE OPTION OF CHANGING THE DATES ON THE PERMIT, DEPENDING ON THE CIRCUMSTANCES. HOWEVER, IF THE VISIT IS CANCELLED, THE FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE (SIMILAR TO A VISA FEE).
