Allen Brown contacted Noonsite earlier this month about the disappearance of his boat, the Roamdeep. The Roamdeep, a converted US Navy vessel, was robbed of about USD10,000 worth of equipment in 2003, the case coming to court in 2006; the vessel has been in the custody of the Brazilian Navy since 2003 and its current whereabouts are unknown.

Mr Brown has written a long report on the circumstances surrounding the seizure and disappearance of his boat, which has generated a lot of debate, beyond the remit of Noonsite. For more information you can go to the SSCA discussion board

A local source in Cabeldo has written to Noonsite that there have been only a few petty cases of robbery from yachts anchored in Cabeldo in the last twenty years and as a rule yachts do not have such difficulties with the authorities as appears to have been the case with Roamdeep and Allen Brown.
