Fiji to Canada - suggestions

Good Day from Savusavu: We are getting ready to return to Vancouver Canada and wonder if you could give us some suggestions on passage routes.

It's not going to be easy to sail back to Canada and one option I suggest in World Cruising Routes (5th edition) is PN87 on page 328. That's the route I'd sail from Fiji to Hawaii, and then, again as suggested in my WC Routes, loop around the Pacific High to from Hawaii to BC.

We were going to basically head north on the 180 and keeping Hawaii to our starboard and then turn basically northeast to BC. What are your thoughts? Just a straight northerly and then a gradual turn with the high....????? What do you think?

Yes, that sounds another good solution and might get you home sooner. All you need to watch out for cyclones in the N. Pacfic.
