Lost Trimaran "Monoah" Found In Tonga

The 12 meter Trimaran "Monoah" washed up on Uonuku Island, 12th Feb 2007, (not 2006 as previously reported) in the Ha'apai Islands group in The kingdom of Tonga.

The remains of the yacht are at 19°56.8 S and 174°29.5 W. It departed South Island New Zealand on 8th June 2005 for Cook Islands and no contact was made after one week. The two people on board were believed to be an Australian Gary Cull and his girlfriend Verona Hunt from Nelson, NZ.

The New Zealand High Commission in Tonga has been informed and the Tongan authorities have inspected the yacht.
